FAQs

Why do you charge recycling fees?

The process of recycling e-waste responsibly and effectively costs money, but the price to our planet is far more if we don’t keep toxic waste out of landfills. Your fees allow us to:

  • Pay real wages to our employees with autism or other disabilities.
  • Comply with high environmental standards as certified e-Steward® recyclers, which ensures that everything that comes through our doors is properly recycled.
  • To protect your personal information by completely shredding and wiping data devices.
  • Keep income earned in the communities we serve — we don’t receive government subsidies.
How do you protect my personal information?

What does that mean?

  • We shred or data-wipe all data devices.
  • Our data security handling processes are validated by third-party audits.
  • Certificates of destruction are available upon request.
  • We guarantee the data security of all assets we manage.
